In India very poor people are often threatened by penury and poverty and are left on their own. They have no insurances as well as financial support, in order to pay the costs for medicine and treatments.

When we started out with our association activity in 1997 child labor was very present in India! However, for the last few years the government actively supported children so they do not have to work anymore but are able to visit a school. The government bears the costs for school as well as meals and significantly fewer children are in the streets.
